It is not usual to come across a mail car in the middle of the Marche hills. Yet this was witnessed by Vincenzo Treccioni when he bought a piece of land in what
we believe to be the most evocative valley of the province of Macerata. We have only theories about how an old mail car arrived here because in the many stories of the
previous owner the only constant elements were the sly look and the smug smile he wore in telling them. With this purchase, the story of the mail car arrived at the end of the line, but another
was about to set off.
In fact, Vicenzo is an architect and when he began to design what heenvisioned as a temple to wellbeing, he did not know that waiting for him was
an undertaking that would have engaged him for the next 25 years. But on the other hand, where there are rail cars it is easy to find travelers and this trip turned out to be the most beautiful
of his life.
This adventure put him in front of all the difficulties that can crop up as the construction site grew, but fortunately his feet rested firmly on an unshakeable pillar,
his wife Maria. On many occasions he was on the verge of giving up when dealing with the delays, technical and regulatory hitches, transport problems, difficulties in finding good
workers and so on. Yet Vincenzo and Maria always found support and counsel in each other.
While facing these obstacles, Vincenzo also took the time to get to know the land and fall in love with
the work(now in fact we can enjoy its fruits thanks to the garden, olive trees and vineyards that although small are always fruitful) and as the villa
took shape the couple rediscovered
the pleasure of conviviality (in fact, even incomplete, this was the scene of many days of pleasure shared at the table with many friends).
Now that the work and the journey
are over, we the Treccioni family are proud to open the doors of this modern and refined villa, so that you may experience days to remember, because we are convinced
that here the sun is brighter, the water is cooler and the food is better.
And if you hear the wind rustling through the olive fronds after swimming in the pool, we think you’ll agree
with us. That old rail car may no longer be here, but we feel that what has meant to us will remain in this valley for much longer.
Will you do us the honor of staying with us and witness it?
